About Me

Hi everyone :)

I'm a stay-at-home mum to 2 cheeky little monsters.  I live in Australia in Melbourne,  with my husband, 2 gorgeous little monsters T and M who inspire me everyday :) and our fluffy dog Archie.

Before I became a mum I was a teacher.  I taught Psychology and Media to high school students in Yr 10-12.

I have always been creative...over the year I have dabbled in mosaicking, jewellery making (although I occasionally still enjoy doing this), knitting (but...I never did finish that 1st scarf...), card making, scrapbooking (I even have scrapbooked my own wedding album!), I (with my husbands help) have made bookends for friends children, and finally (when I was pregnant with my little monster),  I made some artwork for his room and I tried sewing for the 1st time - and obviously I fell in love with it!

This is Dilbert - 1st thing I ever sewed :)

I have now been sewing for about 5 years and I'm still in love with it :)

How did I get into pattern writing I hear you ask?
Well, I have always had a bit of a handbag obsession, I loved shopping for new ones all the time...however, once I had made my 1st bag I was hooked and now refuse to buy any :P

This is the 1st bag I ever made - the noodlehead super tote

I have learnt a lot since making this 1st bag. After creating a few originally designed bags for myself, family and friends, I decided it was time to try my hand at pattern writing.  I'm really enjoying this journey so far and can't wait to share more new patterns and creations with you all very soon!

I hope you have enjoyed finding out a little bit about me.

I would love to meet you too, so please feel free to leave a comment introducing yourself :)

  1. Hi Emma, Nice to meet you :) Thank you for leaving such a lovely comment on my blog about the digger pillow ... I tried replying but you've come up as a no-reply blogger. Anyway, thought I would pop in and say "hi" Serena :)
