The Little Monster's Birthday

Hi everyone

The Little Monster turned 2 yesterday!  How time flys...it feels like only a few weeks ago we were bringing him home from hospital :)

Anyway a few months ago I compiled a list of the things I wanted to make for the little monster at some point.  I set myself the challenge to complete at least 2 of these items for him for his birthday this year (hubby and I had decided that we were having a 100% handmade birthday, so and no store bought presents this year).

I ended up with these 3 parcels all wrapped and ready waiting for him to get up in the morning:

He was so excited to see his presents when he woke up...and once he unwrapped them I could see at once that he and he LOVED them :D

I didn't manage to get a photo of him playing with the car mat as my phone died :P

And I have a special treat for you all:

Can't you can just hear how much he LOVES that horse :D

Below are some better photos of all the gifts, 1st are the quiet book pages I managed to finish in time, (there are a few others in the works, so I will add to his collection in time as well as making the cover for the book at some point); 2nd is the hobby horse (and I think this was the biggest hit of all); and 3rd was the travel car mat I blogged about here (if you want to see some pictures).

For more pictures of the Mr Potato Head page see this post.

His party is on Sunday...so I'm busy preparing for that and will share a post about it some time next week.

I'm joining in here today:
And Sew We Craft

I'm off to do some party preparation now :)
